BCI & FBI Background Check Policy

Purpose

The Infused Xperience (InfusedX) is committed to providing safe, ethical, and trauma-informed environments for youth, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners. To uphold this commitment and comply with school district, healthcare, and state requirements, InfusedX requires criminal background screening through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Policy Statement

All employees, contractors, interns, and volunteers who provide services through

InfusedX—particularly those working with minors or vulnerable populations—must successfully complete both an Ohio BCI Criminal Records Check and an FBI National Criminal Records Check

(fingerprint-based). No individual may begin unsupervised work with participants until required background checks are completed and cleared.

Applicability

This policy applies to full-time and part-time employees, independent contractors, facilitators, program instructors, interns, volunteers, and board members with direct participant contact.
